But we want to get UR shards. **So we gotta care a little.

So, how do we get the UR shards? For starters, there are two types of glory points.

That can be confusing at first. There is Prep Glory 🍉 and Race Glory ⚔️. They are independent of each other and do not stack. I'll explain the best ways to get them as a Free to play player.

Facts of the Prep Phase 🍉

• Level 50 is the minimum we should aim for the Statue. Getting through prelims gives a garanteed amount of Leon shards to everyone, which is what we want, even if we end up last in the finals. ****
  • We did 52 in november iirc. In the prelims, unless we're paired with an aggressive guild, we should be able to coast without issues with that level.
    • Note. In december 2023, “coasting without issues” was NOT TRUE, AT ALL. We got blasted to bits in prelims. We made it, but it was an expensive carnage.
    • June 2024 we hit 54 😎 but someone with 200b/s earnings decided to spend at least 135 USD on us alone just to make sure we didn’t go through despite being last in the lane (we switched). So sometimes the others just decide by force we can’t win lmao
• Statue also eats gold for breakfast. I will donate all my gold personally, but the more you can give the better. Just that, at some point, the amounts start to be crazy and it isn't feasible anymore to progress, so keep an eye on the status for gold donation, if we continue or not.
• There’s a maximum amount of gems we can donate to the statue to max it. We really want to do it, but not everyone has thousands of gem laying around. We’ll have a minimum per member donation daily, like 100, until it’s maxed.
• Besides gems and gold, the other two resources depend on what we want to do.
  • If we had a spendy guild ready to lay nukes on our enemies, Canon is good. For all free to play players, note that Canon sucks ass with the free lasers they give us and is not worth it. We should vote whether or not we boost canon levels; but since this event doesn't seem to be much prepared for, i vote against. Let's keep it level 1 and focus on statue and watermelons
  • Race veterans may recall watermelon sucks. I can't agree more. They suck. HOWEVER, for f2p, they are the most reliable way to make glory points during the race. So personally my opinion is to maximize watermelon. This gives us two advantages
    1. More fellow attacks = more glory points = more leon shards
    2. We are unburdened of the stress of trying hard. Embrace the melon lifestyle 🍉😎
